Job Description

Fundraising & Events Committee members once selected, are required to attend our annual meeting at the beginning of each year.  This meeting will include all committee members from all sub-committees.  The fundraising and events committee members are specifically required to be able to run one event per year and assist other members with planning and execution of other large fundraising events throughout the year.  Each member is required to keep detailed documentation of expenses, funds raised, event sponsors and donors, in-kind donations, and other legal documents. 

Job Requirements

​ job requirements include but are not limited to: 

• Must be 18 or older and pass a background check
• Learn all policies/procedures of Camp Quality
• Learn to navigate our sharepoint website 
• Assist all committee members with fundraising efforts
• Learn what required tax documents and letters we must send to donors/sponsors
• Maintain a kind and positive attitude toward all volunteers and guests
• Communication skills required

Benefits

As an Intern at Camp Quality, you gain knowledge of how non-profit agencies run and what is required to maintain each individual organization.  You are learning several aspects of the industry including management, event planning, marketing and other business skills that will be useful in your career.  You also get hands-on experience from assisting with the planning and execution of events.  Although the internship is unpaid, you gain beneficial experience that will lead you toward a career in the industry, and volunteering looks great to future employers.   

Achievements

• Head of the annual crawfish boil benefit in April that increased profit by 45 percent from 2015.
• Doubled the number of participants at the crawfish boil from the previous year.
• Connected with several companies to host 2 successful profit shares during the spring 2016.​
